class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>El Instituto de Investigaciones en Metalurgia y Materiales fue creado el 29 de mayo de 1953 como Laboratorio Metal\u00fargico, por los ingenieros <b>Jos\u00e9 N\u00fa\u00f1ez Rosales<\/b>, <b>Jorge Zalesky y Hugo Silva<\/b>, como una instituci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica destinada a realizar estudios pirometal\u00fargicos y demostrar la viabilidad de las fundiciones en el pa\u00eds para la obtenci\u00f3n de esta\u00f1o\u00a0 met\u00e1licos a partir de concentrados.<\/p><p>En 1983 fue transformado en el Instituto de Investigaciones Metal\u00fargicas (IIMET) y en a\u00f1o 2003 adquiri\u00f3 su actual denominaci\u00f3n como IIMETMAT.\u00a0 La Resoluci\u00f3n <b>HCU es 5\/0075\/0527\/2003,<\/b> donde se reconoce su creaci\u00f3n y transformaci\u00f3n al actual Instituto de Investigaciones en Metalurgia y Materiales (IIMETMAT).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc9f883 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"fc9f883\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div la actividad minero metal\u00fargica del pa\u00eds como al desarrollo de la industria de la ingenier\u00eda de materiales y ha logrado consolidar su presencia en el \u00e1mbito de la investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica, acad\u00e9mica y prestaci\u00f3n de servicios.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
